Rates4Rigs is based in Manitoba, Canada, and operates a commercial vehicle insurance quote-request and lead generation service for independent truckers and fleet owners. This notice explains information handling in connection with our website, quote inquiries and communications. Rates4Rigs is not an insurance carrier. Insurance providers have their own privacy notices.

2. Information involved
When you submit an inquiry, Rates4Rigs receives your first and last name, email address, phone number, business name, US business ZIP code, vehicle count, policy renewal date, consent selections and the version of the consent notice shown. If you email us, we also receive your message and the details you include.
Our platform may process IP address, browser and device details, page visits, interactions, referral sources, campaign identifiers and submission timestamps for site operation, security and measurement.
Do not submit Social Security numbers, payment details, driver's license images or sensitive insurance documents. Provide another person's information only with authority.
3. How information is used
We use information to respond to inquiries, operate and troubleshoot the website, understand visitor activity, prevent misuse and address legal obligations. When quote requests become available, we will use the details you submit to assess and route your inquiry to insurance partners that may be able to assist your operation. With your separate marketing email opt-in, we will also send insurance-related offers and updates.
6. Retention, security and international processing
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to respond to an inquiry, maintain consent or opt-out records, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations, and then delete or de-identify it when no longer required. Contact us about records relating to you. Minimal suppression records may be retained to respect unsubscribe requests.
We use service access controls and appropriate safeguards for the information involved. No internet service or email system can guarantee complete security. Formspree states that it processes information in the United States and other countries where it operates. Other providers, including Meta, may also process information outside Canada. Foreign laws and lawful government access may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
7. Your choices and requests
You can browse without submitting a quote request. To request access to information about you, correct an error, withdraw consent, request deletion or raise a privacy concern, email info@rates4rigs.com. Please describe your request without sending sensitive identity documents. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity. Applicable legal exceptions may limit access or require records to be retained. Deletion is not an unconditional right in every jurisdiction.
You may withdraw consent to future uses or sharing, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. We will explain relevant consequences, such as being unable to continue a quote referral. Withdrawal does not reverse disclosures already made. We can help identify recipients, but requests concerning an independent partner's records should also be directed to that partner.
Marketing emails are optional. Rates4Rigs will request a separate, unchecked opt-in before sending marketing email. You do not have to subscribe to request a quote. Marketing emails will identify the sender, include contact information and provide an unsubscribe mechanism. You may unsubscribe at any time using that mechanism or by emailing us; requests will be implemented within 10 business days. We may retain a minimal suppression record to respect your choice. Necessary replies to an inquiry or privacy request are separate from promotional subscriptions.
This policy does not authorize marketing calls or text messages. Such activities require their own assessment and any necessary consent before they begin. If a privacy concern remains unresolved, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or another regulator with jurisdiction.
8. Audience and changes
This service is intended for adults seeking insurance for a business operation. It is not directed to children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
We will update this notice when our practices change, show a revised date and provide additional notice where required. Reading or browsing the website is not a substitute for any consent required by law.
